Pirates of the Caribbean

Over in New Orleans square you will find the Pirates of the Caribbean ride. It is the last attraction that Walt personally had a hand in creating and it opened 3 months after his death in 1967. It was so well loved that a series of movies have been made from it. A little movie franchise that has made well over a billion dollars. The first movie just happens to be one of my favorite movies of all time!
This ride can be ridden by everyone. It is a boat ride that can accommodate large groups of people, so your whole group can ride at once. This ride is one of those that may scare your younger kids but assure them that the pirates are not real, but animatronic pirates. We love this ride and make it one that we ride several times on each visit. It is a great one to ride when you are hot and tired!

Haunted Mansion

The great thing about the Haunted Mansion is that it is actually 2 rides in one. During October- December it completely changes. It turns into The Nightmare Before Christmas decor (one of our favorite spooky Disney movies).
The rest of the year it is spooky, but not too scary.

Haunted Mansion is in New Orleans Square and is a ride that everyone can ride. The ride debuted in the park in 1969. You climb into a Doom Buggy to ride through this dark ride. My favorite part is the ballroom with all the ghosts!
