Finding Nemo Ride

When I was younger this was one of my favorite rides. The original submarine ride was in the park from 1959- 1998. It was then closed for almost 10 years and reopened in 2007.
The ride is now based on the movie Finding Nemo.

The ride is about 15 minutes long, and you must walk down a narrow spiral staircase and sit in an enclosed submarine the entire time. My children were fascinated by this ride on our last visit. When the ride first opened the line was an hour or longer all the time. The last few visits we have noticed the line to be much shorter. It is also in the shade so the wait is easier.

Space Mountain

Space Mountain is an indoor rollercoaster that is experienced in the dark. It looks as though you are rocketing through space. The ride originally opened back in 1977, but in 2003 it shut down for refurbishment and reopened in 2005.
This attraction is one that changes at Halloween. It adds a ghost in the ride that appears several times through the ride.
At the end of the ride your picture is taken and can be purchased at the exit of the ride.

Captain EO

Way back in the 80's Disney and the amazing Michael Jackson and George Lucas got together and produced an amazing little show called Captain EO. This attraction left the park but returned after the death of Michael Jackson. We were super excited it returned and love to see it every time we go. It is a 3D movie that also includes a little movement in the theater. The seats shake to the music.
Disclaimer: this was created in the 80's and is super duper cheesy. Be prepared.

Autopia

Autopia has been in Disneyland in some form since the park opened back in 1955. The correct way to say it is as one word. It is not auto topia it is autopia.
While you are in line take advantage of the great photo op at the top of the stairs! It has a perfect shot of the Tomorrowland train depot sign.
There are height requirements for this ride. You must be 32 inches to ride along but 54 inches to drive alone.

You even get your own drivers license as a souvenir. You can add your picture at a booth at the exit for an extra fee.

Star Tours

Star tours originally opened in 1987 to an enthusiastic crowd of Star Wars fans. It closed recently to update the attraction and make it into a 3D adventure, and reopened in 2011.
You must be 40 inches to ride this ride. The theater does move and makes you feel like you are flying in the space craft. It can make you feel a little motion sick.
In the queue before the ride you can see space ships and Star Wars characters.

Our tip for this ride is to head there right away, first thing in the morning. If you do not want to ride it then, get yourself a fast pass. Since its reopening last year, the line for this can be an hour long or longer. The fast passes can also run out, so get your pass early. TomorrowLand is part of the magic mornings (early entry) so take advantage of seeing this attraction then if you can.

Buzz Lightyear AstroBlasters

The Astro Blasters ride debuted in the park in 2005 and has been a favorite if ours ever since.
We love the Toy Story movies. This attraction is for all sizes and ages. In the ride you get to shoot your own laser gun in order to help Buzz defeat the evil emperor Zurg.
It is always a competition to see who can score the highest amount of points.
One of the best parts of this queue is that a full sized Buzz talks to you asking for your help.
