Autopia has been in Disneyland in some form since the park opened back in 1955. The correct way to say it is as one word. It is not auto topia it is autopia.
While you are in line take advantage of the great photo op at the top of the stairs! It has a perfect shot of the Tomorrowland train depot sign.
There are height requirements for this ride. You must be 32 inches to ride along but 54 inches to drive alone.
You even get your own drivers license as a souvenir. You can add your picture at a booth at the exit for an extra fee.
